Securities
The Classical Academy happily accepts gifts of publicly traded securities. Please contact us before transferring shares of stock to the school so that we can immediately identify you as the donor of those shares.
By giving appreciated long-term publicly traded securities (held more than 12 months) directly to The Classical Academy, you may receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full value of the stock. Gifts of securities are valued at the median price on the day you relinquish control of the assets to TCA. None of the appreciation is taxable for capital gains purposes.
Estate Planning
You may also support The Classical Academy through your Will or Estate Plan. Gifts made through your Will or Living Trust can provide considerable future tax benefits, which allow more of your assets to pass to those you care about.
Donate a Vehicle
You can donate a car, boat, RV, or other vehicle. Pick up of your donated vehicle is always free and most vehicle donations can be picked up within 24-72 hours. We will provide you with a receipt upon pickup that may be used for a tax deduction.
Gifts in Memory or to Honor
The Classical Academy will happily receive gifts in memory of or to honor classmates, parents, teachers, students, and friends. When memorial or honoring gifts are received, The Classical Academy notifies the family.
Employer Matching Gifts – Double the impact of your Gift!
Many corporations offer matching gift programs for employees and their families. Most programs match on a dollar per dollar basis. A matching gift can often double or triple your gift to the school!
PLEASE NOTE: In addition to TCA’s annual Highest Needs, there are other ways to sustain the people and programs of The Classical Academy. Some of these ways include building projects, event sponsorships, gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts. Let us know if you would like to have a conversation.
