We are so glad you are here. We believe that education should be a beautiful partnership between the school and the family. The lessons taught during the school day ought to be reinforced in the home, just as the values you are teaching your children are reinforced in the classroom. A true education is one of collaboration between parents and teachers, and it includes parents continuing to learn themselves. We believe education goes far beyond test scores and grades. It is about the development of a human soul to its fullest potential. As humans, we were created to pursue the good, and as educators, it is our goal to partner with you to help your children along in that pursuit.
The Classical Academy is a school that recognizes the wholeness of a child. We do not neglect the mind at the expense of the body, nor vice versa. We offer your child the opportunity to study and learn following a classical, time-honored approach, an education steeped in the best of the Western Canon. Our students study history in chronological order, using original source documents. At TCA, students read timeless literary classics, diagram sentences, learn grammar and writing, study Latin, and master the concepts of math and science. We fall in love with works created by the greatest composers and artists throughout history. TCA is also a school immersed in virtue. It is not enough to model the virtues alone; we help students develop the habits necessary to become virtuous themselves. To provide our students with a well-rounded education, we provide many different opportunities for extracurricular involvement, including theater, band, choir, after school clubs, and many different middle and high school sports. Our academic rigor has prepared our students for acceptance into some of the best colleges in the nation, but more importantly, it has made them great men and women.
