Lower School

The aim of TCA’s lower school education is to develop students to be life-long learners. By nurturing students’ innate sense of wonder and awe we fill their minds with the good, true, and beautiful. Students absorb information quickly during this time, and we use songs and chants, as well as rote memorization to lay a foundation of knowledge for the next stages of learning. We develop their fine motor skills, teaching them that handwriting matters. We train their hearts to love virtue and what it means to be responsible. We use a hands-on approach to science, math, and history to truly make the subjects come alive.
