On August 12, 2020 we look forward to coming back together and starting classes again, and unless the law prohibits it – that is our plan. We will have new protocols and procedures in place to ensure everyone’s safety, but we are excited about getting back to the work of school.
We know many unknowns and uncertainties remain. Please know that our heart as a school is to keep our students safe and to take the most prudent path. In a world currently ruled by extremes, we want to live and practice the virtues that we espouse everyday to our students.
As always we will do the good, learn the true, and love the beautiful.

Governor Ron DeSantis has directed all school districts in Florida to remain closed for the remainder of the school year.
TCA will follow the directive. Even though we are unable to hold classes on campus, we will continue with virtual learning for the remainder of the school year, through May 21st.
We know you have many questions and we will be providing you additional details in the coming days.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time.

The Florida Department of Education just announced that all Florida schools will be closed until May 1st. While we were hopeful that we could return to school on April 16th, we knew this might be a possibility and the TCA teachers are prepared to continue TCA online until May 1st.
TCA will continue to monitor and respond to the developing situation. We thank our TCA Staff, Students, and Families for their patience and support of each other during these unprecedented times.

The Classical Academy of Sarasota is closely monitoring and responding to developments in the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation. Additionally, we are observing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and will communicate regularly with the TCA community via email and this webpage regarding this developing situation.
Currently, The Classical Academy of Sarasota is closed through April 15th.
TCA will not resume classes until Thursday, April 16th per Gov. DeSantis announcement.
Virtual TCA will begin on Wednesday, March 25th. Parents can stop by the school on Wednesday, between 8 AM and 4 PM, to collect their child’s materials.
Assuming that TCA will resume again on April 16th, the goal is that the End of Year Ceremony and Commencement will be held on Thursday, May 21st, as planned.
