Each semester our Lower School grades participate in a curriculum day. The Curriculum Day™ is a culmination of the learning that has taken place within a particular grade level. For example, in fourth grade, at the end of their Civil War study, our students take part in a reenactment, complete with costumes, battles, and authentic era food. In Kindergarten and third grade, our students travel back to colonial America and experience the life of a colonial child. They have clothes to wash and hang and animals to feed. They learn the trade of a silversmith and play games like marbles and hopscotch. Curriculum Days™ provide a hands-on experience for the students and make history come alive.
